Server rules

Barely any rules. Don't cheat.

TaxSMP is survival with the gloves off. Grief, raid, steal and scam to your heart's content. The short list below is what actually gets you banned. Caught someone cheating? Open a ticket in the Discord.

1. This is allowed

  1. 1.1
    Grief, raid and steal.

    Nothing is claimed or protected. Break into bases, empty chests, blow up builds and take whatever you can carry.

  2. 1.2
    Traps and PvP anywhere.

    Kill on sight, ambush people at spawn, build traps. If you die with your loot on you, that is on you.

  3. 1.3
    Scamming and backstabbing.

    Deals, alliances and trades are between players. Staff will not refund you, so think before you hand over your netherite.

  4. 1.4
    Hide your stuff.

    There is no safe storage. Bury your base, lock your loot away and do not log off in the open.

2. No cheating

  1. 2.1
    No hacked clients.

    Meteor, Wurst, Aristois and anything else that plays the game for you are banned. This is the rule we actually care about.

  2. 2.2
    No X-ray.

    X-ray packs, mods, freecam and seed-cracking tools to find ores or bases all count as cheating.

  3. 2.3
    No auto-clickers or macros.

    Every click should be yours. Normal AFK farms are fine.

  4. 2.4
    No duping or exploiting.

    Report duplication glitches and other exploits in the Discord instead of using them. Abusing one wipes your balance and gets you banned.

  5. 2.5
    Allowed mods.

    Performance and cosmetic mods like Sodium, Iris, OptiFine, Lunar and Badlion are fine. Ask in the Discord if you are unsure about one.

3. Chat

  1. 3.1
    Trash talk is fine. Hate is not.

    Bragging about the base you just raided is the point. Slurs, hate speech, threats and doxxing get you muted or banned.

  2. 3.2
    No spam or advertising.

    No caps floods, and no advertising other servers or Discords in chat.

  3. 3.3
    Do not impersonate staff.

    Claiming to be staff to trick people is not the kind of scam that flies here.

4. Keep the server running

  1. 4.1
    No lag machines.

    Anything built to lag the server gets removed, and you get banned for it.

  2. 4.2
    Keep farms reasonable.

    Staff may limit farms that wreck performance for everyone. Ask first if you are building something enormous.

5. Accounts & punishments

  1. 5.1
    Your account is your responsibility.

    Anything done on your account counts as you doing it.

  2. 5.2
    No ban evasion.

    Joining on an alt while banned makes the ban permanent on every account you own.

  3. 5.3
    Chargebacks are a permanent ban.

    Charging back a store purchase removes your access to the server.

  4. 5.4
    How punishments work.

    Cheating and duping go straight to a ban. Chat offenses usually start with a mute.

If something isn't on this list, it's probably allowed. Staff can still step in when someone is breaking the server itself. Rule changes are announced in the Discord.
